Meet the New Bayonet Ocean Vehicles team

Bayonet Ocean Vehicles, a company launched by Greensea Systems to develop, manufacture and distribute a line of amphibious robots, is the latest organization to join the Greensea Group.

Bayonet joins as an independent entity, acquiring and renaming the intellectual property and inventory of C-2 Innovations’ crawler robot product line. Bringing together the industry’s top talent, including the former President and Principal Investigator of C2-i, the Bayonet team will be led by Ben Kinnaman and the Greensea management team. Bayonet’s current team is made up of highly experienced industry veterans.

Vice President Growth and Strategy – Nick Hartman

Nick brings a strong background in sales and business development in the ocean robotics industry, as well as experience in vehicle engineering. He began his career in the ocean robotics industry as a mechanical engineer, where he was involved in product development with Remote Ocean Systems (ROS) in San Diego, California. During his time at ROS, he worked on underwater cameras, positioners and lights for the ROV and underwater inspection industries.

He also worked with MacArtney, managing their North and South American systems sales group, as well as a global team to develop the first production-level minehunting launch and recovery systems for the Common Unmanned. Surface Vehicle (CUSV). The program is currently active with 10 systems currently in use by the Navy.

VP of Operations – Rich Amirault

A 30-year veteran of management and sales in manufacturing environments, Rich brings valuable experience within the ocean robotics industry, where he led teams that brought several new products from concept to production. full throttle and benchmark programs.

He holds a Green Belt in Lean and Continuous Improvement, specializing in scaling businesses from concept to prototype to full production. He also holds an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Babson College and a BSIE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Vice President of Programs – Arnis Mangolds

Founder and President of C2-I, Arnis provides 35 years of US government and civilian program development with a leadership record in technology transition. He has previously worked as PI (expand please) on numerous programs including the CULOPS counter drone and the Sea Ox, as well as the design and development of the Bandolier modular line load.

Arnis also served as Group Director and Vice President at Foster-Miller, where he was responsible for identifying new technologies for military and commercial transition; the Talon and RPG defense systems generated over $1 billion in sales.

Arnis holds a bachelor’s degree in geology, a master’s degree in mining engineering and several patents in the fields of nets, lures, line loads and breaching tools, logistics and robotics.

Lead Engineer – Mike Farinella

Mike previously worked for C2-i where he successfully transitioned several Phase I proof-of-concept programs into Phase II and III technology demonstration programs. In his role at Bayonet, he will be responsible for new technology development and engineering operations.

Prior to joining C2-i, Farinella worked for Foster-Miller as a Principal Engineer where he managed engineering operations for many intensive field programs that were driven to the user in the Loop Demonstration in quick time. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from North-eastern University and a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Brown University. He holds 3 patents, is a member of ASME, Association of US Army, and is certified in Explosives for R&D operations.

System Engineer – Bill Rathjen

Bill has a BSc in Marine Science and his career has spanned a range of industries, all focused on the ocean environment. He brings experience working in all aspects of mechanical, electrical and software engineering, including very complex systems that have reached sea depths of 6,000 meters.

Bill thrives on taking concepts and turning them into products.

Mechanical Engineer – Mike Coutts

Mike began his career in the medical device industry, where he supported process development and new product introduction of arthroscopic surgical devices. More recently, he has become a familiar face in the ocean robotics industry, where he recently oversaw the concept, design, prototype and pre-production of 2 new product lines.

He holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University. In addition, he has a black belt in Six Sigma.

He leads by establishing a clear vision for success, enabling growth, encouraging new ideas and removing obstacles.

Production Engineer – John Theirrien

A 20-year veteran of the US Coast Guard, John specialized in helicopter maintenance and served as a senior quality inspector.

He earned a BS in Electronic Engineering while serving the Coast Guard, then began his career in ocean robotics where he was instrumental in bringing a low-volume production effort into a record-breaking program.

John excels in streamlining production processes to maximize their efficiency, committed to providing customers with products that meet or exceed their expectations.
