LAVA wins the “Golden Peacock Award – 2018 for Innovative Product / Services” for its reimbursement challenge
Lava International Limited won the “Golden Peacock Innovative Product / Service Award 2018” for the most efficient field execution of its “Money Back Challenge”. Lava had presented its âLava Money Back Challengeâ in October 2017 where customers who bought a Lava phone experienced the product for 30 days and in case they didn’t like the product for any reason; returned the phone within 30 days of the purchase date and received a refund. Lava ran this program from October 2017 to February 2018. According to Lava, the highlight of the challenge was the on-site refund of their returned handsets.
The Golden Peacock Awards, established by the Institute of Directors of India in 1991, are considered a benchmark for business excellence. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance, Govt. of United Arab Emirates and Lieutenant General JS Ahluwalia, PVSM (Retired), President of the Institute of Directors, India in Dubai presented the award to Sourabh Raghuvanshi, Head of Customer Service Delivery, Lava International at the ceremony of the Golden Peacock Awards in Dubai. The award was presented in the presence of business leaders who gathered for the 28th World Leadership Congress for Business Excellence and Innovation.

Acknowledging the award, Sourabh Raghuvanshi said: âWe have introduced a novel process for delivering a bank check to the customer ‘on site’ when they return the handset. In our post-transaction closing phone calls, we obtained a “Very Satisfied” score of 99% from our customers. With this campaign coupled with a festive sale, we saw an increase in sales and a 67% increase in revenue growth â.
The more than 1000 nominations received by the âGolden Peacock Awardsâ are evaluated at three levels by independent evaluators and finally by a grand jury.
